We're into Week 11 of the 2021 NFL season, and injuries are once again a factor in several key games this coming weekend. Quarterbacks are once again the biggest story of the weekend, though the injuries to multiple top running backs promise to shake up lineups as well.
As teams turn in their final injury reports of the week, let this be your hub for knowing who is in, who is out, and whose status may still be up in their leading up to kickoff. Below, you'll find every injury report and analysis of what it all means for Week 11.
The Texans could be without a couple of players on defense, as Nickerson was ruled out with a concussion and Greenard is questionable with a foot injury. LeBlanc popped up on the injury report Friday with an illness. He is questionable as well.
The Titans will be without several starters on Sunday, including Davis, Dupree, Long, Evans and Mabin. While the cornerback position is already a question mark, it doesn't help that starter Jenkins is questionable to suit up with a chest injury that popped up in the middle of the week.
The Colts usually have a very busy injury report, but just one name was given a designation this week. Unfortunately it was a pretty important name, as Leonard is questionable to play with ankle and hand injuries. He did not practice Wednesday, but was limited Thursday and Friday.
Edmunds got in a limited session Friday after not practicing at all Wednesday or Thursday. He's trending in the right direction but his status could likely best be described as up in the air. He's a very important piece for Buffalo's defense, particularly in the Bills' efforts to slow down Jonathan Taylor.
It's looking like Mitchell will be a game-time decision as general manager John Lynch said he would be, and it doesn't help that Hasty won't be active either. In Mitchell's potential absence, recently-returned veteran Jeff Wilson Jr. is likely to lead the backfield on early downs, while fullback Kyle Juszczyk would presumably be the passing-down back. Read more from our story on Mitchell, here.
Robinson said on Friday that he feels pretty good, which would seem to give him a decent shot of suiting up against San Francisco. If he's out or limited, he'd likely be replaced in the lineup by Carlos Hyde.
- Ravens: DT Brandon Williams (shoulder), LB Pernell McPhee (knee), WR Miles Boykin (finger) OUT; WR Marquise Brown (thigh), OL Patrick Mekari (ankle), RB Latavius Murray (ankle), CB Jimmy Smith (hip), CB Tavon Young (foot), CB Anthony Averett (thigh), WR Devin Duvernay (knee), OT Cedric Ogbuehi (thigh), LB Kristian Welch (foot) QUESTIONABLE
- Bears: DL Akiem Hicks (ankle) OUT; WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) DOUBTFUL; S Eddie Jackson (hamstring), OL Elijah Wilkinson (back) QUESTIONABLE
The Ravens are banged up, and have plenty of notable players questionable to play this Sunday. There is good news, however, as Lamar Jackson returned as a full participant in practice after battling an illness this week, and he had no injury designation.
The Bears placed both Khalil Mack and Danny Trevathan on injured reserve, while elevating Cassius Marsh to the active roster and signing Bruce Irvin. They're potentially going to be quite short-handed on both sides of the ball.
The headline when it comes to the Lions' final injury report is that starting quarterback Jared Goff is doubtful with an oblique injury. He didn't practice at all this week, which makes it seem as though Tim Boyle will be starting for Detroit. The quarterback will be in danger of not having starting left tackle Taylor Decker, who is questionable with an elbow injury.
Cleveland activated both Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton from the reserve/COVID-19 list. They are expected to play in this game. Baker Mayfield did not practice Wednesday, was limited Thursday and returned as a full participant Friday. He has no injury designation. His top wide receivers are a bit banged up, though, as Jarvis Landry was limited all week with a knee injury and Peoples-Jones is questionable to play with a groin injury.
The Saints hoped they would get Kamara back this week, but it appears he had a bit of a setback. After being a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Kamara did not practice again all week, and he has been ruled out. The Saints' problems don't stop there, as they will be without their starting offensive tackles in Armstead and Ramczyk as well.
Philly's injury report isn't too worrisome, but Barnett popped up on the report Friday with a neck injury and is questionable to play. While Taylor is also questionable, he was a full participant in practice on Friday.
The Dolphins' aggressive, blitz-happy defense won them their game against the Ravens last week. Van Ginkel and Wilkins are each important pieces along the defensive front.
For some reason, Joe Flacco is expected to make the start in place of Wilson, rather than Mike White. Vera-Tucker has been a valuable player on the interior of the offensive line for the Jets, and it would be damaging if he has to sit.
Washington Football Team at Carolina Panthers (-3.5)
Seals-Jones did not practice all week, so his absence is expected. Logan Thomas remains on injured reserve, so the Football Team will be down to its third-string tight end. Samuel has been on and off the injury report all season and played just 30 combined snaps across his only two appearances this year. St-Juste practically fully on Friday, leaving him likelier to play than Fuller, who was limited on both Thursday and Friday.
The Panthers are relatively healthy for Cam Newton's return to Carolina. Thomas-Oliver is the only player with an injury designation.
Jones will be replaced in the lineup by backup A.J. Dillon, and Patrick Taylor will presumably get some work spelling him. Bakhtiari needs to be activated before next week's game, as his three-week window will be up. If Lazard is out (and he did not practice all week), Randall Cobb and Marquez Valdes-Scantling should play larger roles in the offense. Gary's absence would be huge for the Packers, who remain without their best pass rusher, Za'Darius Smith.
Minnesota's under-performing secondary could surely use Breeland against Davante Adams.
The Bengals are relatively healthy entering this pivotal AFC matchup. As for the Raiders, running back Josh Jacobs was limited all week with a knee injury, but did not have an injury designation. Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue was listed as having a back injury, but he was a full participant all week.
- Cardinals: DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring), OL Justin Pugh (calf), LB Tanner Vallejo (knee), RB Jonathan Ward (concussion) OUT; QB Kyler Murray (ankle), DT Corey Peters (shoulder), S James Wiggins (knee), S Budda Baker (heel), OL Max Garcia (Achilles), QB Colt McCoy (pectoral) QUESTIONABLE
- Seahawks: S Jamal Adams (groin), CB D.J. Reed (groin), LB Cody Barton (quadricep), OT Jamarco Jones (back), DE Kerry Hyder (calf) QUESTIONABLE
Hopkins will miss his third consecutive game with a hamstring injury. Murray is supposedly closer to getting on the field than he was over the last two weekz, but coach Kliff Kingsbury said the quarterback will again be a game-time decision. With Arizona's bye coming in Week 12, the Cardinals might elect to play things conservatively here against a Seahawks team that was out of sorts a week ago against the Packers. Interestingly enough, Murray's backup, McCoy, is questionable to play with a pectoral injury, although he was a full participant in practice Friday.
Adams is one of the stars of the Seahawks, and he hurt his groin sometime this week. He was limited Thursday and sat out Friday. Adams isn't the only defenseman who is in danger of missing Sunday, as Reed, Barton and Hyder are also on the fence.
For the Cowboys, Smith's status for Sunday will be something to keep an eye on, but the real story is star wide receiver Amari Cooper being ruled out after testing positive for COVID-19. According to ESPN, Cooper is unvaccinated, meaning he will have to enter a 10-day quarantine and will miss the team's next two games. Read more on this development, here.
The Chiefs are somewhat healthy entering this important matchup, but they certainly need Sneed, who was a limited participant in practice all week.
The Steelers defense will be missing some key pieces, as Haden and Watt were ruled out Friday. Pittsburgh won't have Minkah Fitzpatrick, either, as he tested positive for COVID-19.
The Chargers did not rule anyone out Friday, but Gilman, Joseph and Webb were designated as doubtful. All three did not practice Friday.
