Colts Injury Report: 6 Miss Practice Including 5 Starters - Stampede Blue

The Indianapolis Colts today released their Thursday injury report for week 17 of the NFL season.

Defensive lineman Denico Autry, tight end Trey Burton and defensive end Justin Houston returned to practice fully today after missing practice yesterday with a scheduled rest day.

Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner continues to miss practice due to an ankle injury. Buckner injured his ankle a few weeks ago in practice and has been struggling with it ever since. Buckner needs to practice in some capacity tomorrow if he wants to feature on Sunday.

Offensive tackles Anthony Castonzo and Will Holden continue to miss practice. Castonzo will undergo season ending ankle surgery while Holden was ruled OUT for this weeks game by Colts head coach Frank Reich.

Quarterback Philip Rivers returned to practice today. Rivers practice fully today after missing practice yesterday with a toe injury. River has been getting Wednesday practices off while he recovers from his toe injury.

Cornerback Rock Ya-Sin and safety Khari Willis continue to miss practice with concussions. At this point in the week if a player isn’t practices at least in a limited fashion after a concussion then it would be unlikely they would be able to pass through the concussion protocol in time to play Sunday. Ya-Sin and Willis will be big losses Sunday, Ya-Sin will likely be replaced in the starting line up by TJ Carrie and Willis by Tavon Wilson.

Wide recievers Michael Pittman and Marcus Johnson both practice fully today after being limited in practice yesterday. Pittman is working his way through the league concussion protocol and looks to pass through in time to play Sunday. Johnson is working back from a quad injury he sustained against the Texans in week 15.

Tight end Jack Doyle missed practice due to a quad injury today. Doyle missing practice today after not being listed on the injury report yesterday means it is a new injury and one that could rule him out for this Sunday. Unless Doyle can bounce back from missing practice today and practice tomorrow he is in danger of missing the Jaguars game Sunday.

Linebacker Jordan Glasgow (illness), safety George Odum (knee) and long snapper Luke Rhodes (ankle) all practiced fully today.
