CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns (10-4) play the New York Jets (1-13) today in MetLife Stadium, the same field on which they beat the Giants last week. A win against the Jets all but punches the Browns first playoff ticket since 2002.
With the impressive way the Browns have been playing, this game would seem to be an easy win for Cleveland. As Lee Corso would say, ‘not so fast,’ the Jets are coming off their first win of the season. A win over a good Los Angeles Rams team in L.A.
Quarterback Sam Darnold threw for 207 yards and one touchdown while ancient veteran Frank Gore ran for one TD and 53 yards against Aaron Donald and the stout Rams defense.
The Browns will need to stay focused on their mantra of going 1-0 each week so they can make the playoffs and position the Jets that much closer to getting the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
