Jon Robinson’s first signing of the free agency period is done, per Ian Rapoport. The Tennessee Titans will sign former Colts defensive tackle Denico Autry, beefing up the defensive line with the pending departure of DaQuan Jones, who is on the open market.
Per Rapoport, it will be a three-year deal for Autry worth up to $21.5 million.
The #Titans are signing former #Colts DT Denico Autry to a 3-year deal worth $21.5M, per me and @TomPelissero. He gets $9M guaranteed and $14.25M over 2 years. TEN’s first FA signing.

Autry will be entering his eighth NFL season this fall. The 6-5, 285 pounder entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2014 with the Raiders. He signed with the Colts in 2018, playing in Indianapolis for the last three seasons. Autry started 38 games for the Colts over the last three years.
Autry has been a consistent disrupter for Indianapolis, registering nine sacks in 2018 and 7.5 in 2020. He has over 200 career tackles in his career, 50 of which coming for a loss.
Jon Robinson is looking for more of a pass rush in any shape or form, and he’s done that here. Autry will form a nice combination with Jeffery Simmons up front for the Titans. However, a massive need on the edge still looms for Jon Robinson. The edge rusher market has already been hit hard today, with Yannick Ngakoue, Matthew Judon, Romeo Okwara and Shaq Barrett already landing deals.
