Last week, the Buffalo Bills surprised most of us by naming running back Zack Moss an inactive player ahead of their season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week, with Buffalo traveling to sunny Florida for a divisional duel against the Miami Dolphins, the Bills have activated Moss.
With the second-year man back in the lineup, that means there are some new names on the inactive list. Here’s who’s out for today’s date with the Dolphins.
OT Tommy Doyle
The Bills kept third-round draft choice Spencer Brown active over the fifth-round pick last week, and Doyle is inactive again this week.
DE Boogie Basham
For the second straight week, Buffalo’s second-round pick is a healthy scratch. This time, though, it comes when the Bills are down another edge rusher.
DE Efe Obada
After playing last week, albeit in a limited role, Obada popped up on the injury report this week. That injury will cause him to miss the game.
DT Harrison Phillips
With Star Lotulelei back in action after missing last week with a calf injury, the Bills have decided to keep Justin Zimmer active over Phillips.
LB Andre Smith
For the second straight week, the Bills keep Tyrel Dodson active over Smith, whose main contributions come on special teams.
Here are Miami’s inactive players:
